Alexey Sergeev noted the effective cooperation of Russian and Kirgiz parliamentarians

Secretary General General – cum – Executive Secretary of the IPA CIS Council Alexey Sergeev noted the results of negotiations between Chairperson of the IPA CIS Council and Speaker of the Federation Council Valentina Matvienko and the Speaker of Jogorku Kenesh Asylbek Zheenbekov during her two-day official visit to Kirgizstan on 20-12 October. The sides discussed issues of bilateral concern and joint action in the IPA CIS.

Alexey Sergeev noted the legislative activism of parliamentarians which is instrumental in building national legal frameworks in the CIS. He also said that Kirgiz parliamentarians promoted a series of initiatives that gathered momentum and live on. One such initiative is the Chingiz Aytmatov Award.
