Books on the Great Patriotic War presented in the Tavricheskiy Palace

An enormous awareness-raising effort, the expo has the purpose to introduce the recent research projects on the history of the War. The project leaders and authors came to the IPA CIS headquarters to tell the visitors about their hard work to assemble evidence and records on the War. Vyacheslav Zimonin, focal point of a project led by the Ministry of Defense, was the first to present the fruit of his and his team’s efforts – a multi-volume edition on the Great Patriotic War of 1941 – 1945.

The expo also featured a short video 13 Monuments and presentations of war-related works from Belarus, Kazakhstan, as well as the project Children of War. A Collection of Memories led by MIR, a CIS-wide broadcasting company.
