Procedure of the 137th IPU Assembly discussed in Moscow

Chairperson of the IPA CIS Council, Speaker of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Valentina Matvienko held a working consultation dedicated to the 137th IPU Assembly. During the meeting, issues related to the organization of the event were discussed. The meeting was attended by Alexey Sergeev, Secretary General – Head of the IPA CIS Council Secretariat.

Recall, the 137th Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU), the world’s largest and oldest association of parliamentarians which was established in 1889 and brings together the legislative bodies of 170 countries, will take place at Tavrisheskiy Palace - headquarters of the Interparliamentary Assembly of Member Nations of the Commonwealth of Independent StatesThis decision was taken by the IPU Governing Council on the final day of the meetings of the 135th Assembly of the IPU in Geneva.
