Valentina Matvienko held a meeting with Anne Brasseur

IPA CIS Council Chairperson, the Speaker of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Valentina Matvienko held a meeting with President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) Anne Brasseur.

The meeting took place in Geneva on the sidelines of the 133rd IPU Assembly.

During the meeting Valentina Matvienko noted that ‘PACE should be a venue for free exchange of opinions, dialogue between parliamentarians, and quest for compromise. This is the main function of the organization’.

Anne Brasseur also advocated in favour of the dialogue between countries.
