Valentina Matvienko: "Making Women’s voices in defence of peace and stability heard"

Valentina Matvienko, IPA CIS Council Chairperson, Speaker of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation believes that the format of the upcoming Eurasian Women’s Forum is topical for the whole world.

‘The purpose of the Forum is to have an interesting discussion about the modern world, today’s challenges and our common actions to rise to these challenges’.

More than 75 countries and 250 foreign guests have already registered for the Forum.

IPA CIS Council Chairperson believes that the role of women in the modern world is increasing. And ‘this is common for numerous areas, such as politics, education, healthcare, culture, business, and social life. The Forum is going to be a fascinating event. We are preparing an imaginative program with interesting discussions’.

Valentina Matvienko also added that Russia as the host country would do its utmost to convene participants from different countries and make women’s voice heard. ‘This is going to be a good venue for sharing experiences, practices and implementation of common projects’.
