Valentina Matvienko’s address to citizens of St. Petersburg to commemorate the siege of Leningrad

IPA CIS Council Chairperson Valentina Matvienko addressed to citizens of St. Petersburg to commemorate the tragic page in the history of the World War II.

Valentina Matvienko paid tribute to the citizens who were not brought to their knees under heavy bombings and kept on living and working.

“We remember and honor those who perished of starvation and bombings of the Leningrad under siege; and we bow our heads in recognition of veterans’ courage”.
