Valentina Matvienko met with Chinybai Tursunbekov in the margins of the XXII SPIEF

IPA CIS Chairperson, Speaker of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Valentina Matvienko, met with Speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic Chinybai Tursunbekov in the margins of the XXI St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.

During the meeting the parties discussed a wide range of issues on the international agenda including interparliamentary cooperation.

Valentina Matvienko noted the importance of SPIEF underscoring the importance of meetings and talks during the Forum. "The Forum has become an international discussion platform".

Talking to the press after the meeting, Chinybai Tursunbekov noted: "I am getting vast information on world economy and have seen its progress with my own eyes. We discussed bi-lateral interparliamentary relations and other issues that concern us".
