Valentina Matvienko paid tribute to the victims of the Blockade of Leningrad

The annual ceremony started at 11 am. Valentina Matvienko paid tribute with a minute of silence to those killed during the Blockade 73 years ago. This is to remember over a million people who starved to death during the Blockade and, yet, managed to defend their home town.
