Valentina Matvienko sends a welcome message to the participants of the international conference East and West meet in St. Petersburg

"Today, the Tavrichesky Palace brought together more than 300 women leaders from Russian regions, Asian countries, America, Africa and Europe for a constructive discussion of existing problems and sharing best practices related to the issues of life quality", says the message.

IPA CIS Chairperson, Speaker of the Federation Council expressed confidence that "ideas and solutions in the outcome of this Conference will facilitate the building of specific tools to provide assistance and support in all spheres of life which, in turn, will make our society more civilized and harmonious". Vlantina Matvienko also expressed hope that "the resolution of the Conference will be reflected in the course of the Second Eurasian Women's Forum to be held in the Tavrichesky Palace in 2018".
