XVI Eurasian Media Forum takes place in Almaty

On 22-24 May, the XVI Eurasian Media Forum is taking place in Almaty (Republic of Kazakhstan) bringing together journalists from over 60 countries. This year the event is dedicated to the topic “World Today: Transformation of Reality?” and aimed at discussion of deglobalization, crisis of consumption, digitalization of media, as well as the opportunities and challenges of widespread introduction of AI.

Chairperson of the IPA CIS Council, Speaker of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Valentina Matvienko sent her message to the representatives of media community noting that the Forum contributed to preservation and development of freedom of speech.

The First Eurasian Media Forum took place in 2002. Since that time the Forum has proven as a world-class event addresses a wide range of political, economic and social issues.
