A Solemn and Mourning Ceremony Took Place at Piskaryovskoye Memorial Cemetery in St. Petersburg

On the day of the 78th anniversary of the complete liberation of Leningrad from the Nazi Siege, the citizens of St. Petersburg gathered at the Piskaryovskoye Memorial Cemetery to pay tribute to the memory of the besieged city victims. 

Chairperson of the IPA CIS Council, Speaker of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Valentina Matvienko attended the ceremony and along with other citizens honored the memory of the dead. 

Deputy Secretary General of the IPA CIS Council – Plenipotentiary Representative of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Irina Sokolova, First Deputy Head of the IPA CIS Council Secretariat Sergey Kurdin and staff members of the IPA CIS Council Secretariat also attended the ceremony.
