CIS Experts Discussed Development of Bilateral Cooperation in Field of Pensions

The CIS Executive Committee in Minsk hosted a meeting on the development of bilateral cooperation between the CIS Member Nations in the field of pension provision for the population.

The event was attended by representatives of Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan, as well as the General Confederation of Trade Unions, the CIS Statistical Committee and the Eurasian Economic Commission.

Secretary of the IPA CIS Permanent Commission on Social Policy and Human Rights, Executive Secretary of the IPA CIS Board of Experts on Public Health Evgenia Vladimirova, Head of Legal Department Stanislav Konyukhov, and Adviser to the Sector on Legal Issues Oksana Putsko represented the IPA CIS Council Secretariat at the event.

The experts discussed topical issues of legal regulation of pension relations in the Commonwealth, as well as exchanged useful experience in solving practical problems and introducing best practices into the current pension models of the CIS countries. The meeting also addressed issues of social insurance reserve and the rules for its use, the benefits applied in determining the right to a labor pension and calculating a pension, and a number of other issues.
