Delegation of IPA CIS Council Secretariat Visited Milli Majlis of Azerbaijan Republic

The delegation of the IPA CIS Council Secretariat, headed by Secretary General of the IPA CIS Council Dmitriy Kobitskiy, met with Speaker of the Milli Majlis of the Azerbaijan Republic Sahiba Gafarova. The Secretary General expressed gratitude to the leadership and members of the Milli Majlis of the Azerbaijan Republic for their attention to the activities of the IPA CIS.

The delegation of the IPA CIS Council Secretariat and the leadership of the Azerbaijan parliament discussed the prospects for the participation of members of the Milli Majlis in the international conference dedicated to the 20^th anniversary of the Convention on Standards of Democratic Election, Electoral Rights and Freedoms in the Member States of the Commonwealth of Independent States to be held on 6-7 October 2022 in St. Petersburg.

During the meeting, Dmitriy Kobitskiy invited the Milli Majlis of the Azerbaijan Republic to co-organize a joint roundtable on the issues of standards for democratic elections and principles of international election observation at the IPA CIS IIMDD Baku office.
