Dmitriy Kobitskiy and Delegation of CEC of Kyrgyz Republic Discussed Preparation for Elections to Jogorku Kenesh

A delegation of the Central Commission on Elections and Referenda of the Kyrgyz Republic arrived in St. Petersburg within the framework of the preparation for the elections to the Jogorku Kenesh. The visit is carried out in accordance with the Action Plan of the Working Group to ensure the implementation of the electoral rights of citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic, residing or staying abroad.

Today the delegation met with Secretary General of the IPA CIS Council Dmitriy Kobitskiy. The meeting was attended by Deputy Secretary General of the IPA CIS Council – Plenipotentiary Representative of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic Nurbek Satvaldiev, Deputy Head of the IPA CIS Council Secretariat, IPA CIS IIMDD Director Ivan Mushket, Deputy Chair of the Central Commission on Elections and Referenda of the Kyrgyz Republic Tynchtyk Shaynazarov, Head of the International Cooperation Department of the CEC Arslanbek Umetaliev and CEC Adviser Ainura Temirbekova.

The parties considered various aspects of the preparation for elections to the Jogorku Kenesh, as well as the organization of the long-term monitoring by the IPA CIS international observers. In addition, the meeting participants discussed the Second International Student Internet Olympiad “Election Systems of the World”, which is now being held among students of the IPA CIS Member Nations. The parties highly appreciated the importance of such events.
