Leadership of IPA CIS Council Secretariat Laid Flowers at Bust of Chingiz Aitmatov on Writer’s Birthday

Today, on the 93^rd anniversary of the birth of Chingiz Aitmatov, Secretary General of the IPA CIS Council Dmitriy Kobitskiy and his deputies – plenipotentiary representatives of parliaments of Armenia, Belarus and Kyrgyzstan Hayk Chilingaryan, Viktor Kogut and Nurbek Satvaldiev laid flowers at the bust of the famous writer, installed in the Russian National Library in St. Petersburg. The ceremony dedicated to the birthday of the writer was opened by Director of the Library Vladimir Gronskiy.

Dmitriy Kobitskiy shared his impressions on the Chingiz Aitmatov Museum, which the IPA CIS delegation had visited during one of the official visits to the Kyrgyz Republic. He also stressed that the works of Chingiz Aitmatov were truly world heritage.

Nurbek Satvaldiev told the story of the installation of the bust of Chingiz Aitmatov and thanked the leadership of the Library for the work to preserve the memory of the famous writer and promote his works.
