Meeting of CIS Advisory Board on Inter-Regional and Trans-Border Cooperation Took Place in Astana

On 23 November, 2023, the 12^th meeting of the CIS Advisory Board on Inter-Regional and Trans-Border Cooperation in Astana took place via videoconferencing.

The members presented the information on the status of interregional and cross-border cooperation in the Commonwealth.

The IPA CIS Permanent Commission on Practices of State-Building and Local Government interacts with the Advisory Board on a permanent basis. Secretary of the Commission Elena Fominenko made a report on Amendments to the CIS Concept of Inter-Regional and Trans-Border Cooperation until 2030 and the Action Plan for its implementation.

All proposals sent by the IPA CIS were taken into account in the formation of the updated version of the Plan.

A number of documents, including the Concept of Forming of Information and Library Space Based on Border Libraries of the CIS Member Nations and Concept of the Organization and Holding the Forum of CIS Regions were adopted as a result of the meeting. The report on the activities of the Board in 2019-2023 was also approved at the meeting.
