Memory of Fallen in Great Patriotic War Was Honored at the Piskarevsky Memorial Cemetery

On 22 June 2022, a mourning ceremony dedicated to the 81th anniversary of the beginning of the Great Patriotic War took place at the Piskarevsky Memorial Cemetery in St. Petersburg. The delegation of the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly laid flowers to the Motherland Monument. Representatives of the IPA CIS also laid flowers at the memorial plaques in memory of the natives of the former Soviet republics who fell in battles.

The IPA CIS delegation included Secretary General of the IPA CIS Council Dmitriy Kobitskiy, Deputy Secretary General of the IPA CIS Council – Plenipotentiary Representative of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus Viktor Kogut, Deputy Secretary General of the IPA CIS Council – Plenipotentiary Representative of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan Igor Musalimov, Deputy Secretary General of the IPA CIS Council – Plenipotentiary Representative of the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova Ion Lipciu, Deputy Secretary General of the IPA CIS Council – Plenipotentiary Representative of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Irina Sokolova, Deputy Secretary General of the IPA CIS Council – Plenipotentiary Representative of the Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan Bakhtovar Safarzoda, Deputy Heads of the IPA CIS Council Secretariat Alexey Dolzhikov, Elena Kuzina, Ivan Mushket and other staff members of the IPA CIS Council Secretariat.
