National Library of Russia Opens Exhibition Dedicated to Kyrgyz Masters of Literary Translation

Today, an exhibition featuring the masterpieces of the world literature translated into Kyrgyz, as well as the books of Kyrgyz writers in Russian, opened in the National Library of Russia. Library visitors can familiarize themselves with the works of famous writers and translators: Kubanychbek Malikov, Alykul Osmonov, Kasymaly Bayalinov, Mukai Elebaev, Suyunbay Eraliyev, Kerez Yrsaliev and others. The exhibition was first attended by Deputy Secretary General of the IPA CIS Council – Plenipotentiary Representative of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic Nurbek Satvaldiev, Honorary Consul of the Kyrgyz Republic in St. Petersburg Taalaybek Abdiev and Deputy Director of the National Library of Russia Valentin Sidorin.

The participants discussed the prospects for further cooperation, in particular, recognized the need to replenish library funds with works of young talented authors from the Kyrgyz Republic.
