Participation of New Generation in Electoral Processes Across Commonwealth Discussed at Youth Gathering in Leningrad Region

On 7 September 2021, the 16^th meeting of the youth activists of the region, dedicated to the Year of Pure Water kicked off in the village of Losevo in the Priozersky district of the Leningrad Region (Russian Federation). Executive Secretary of the Youth CIS Interparliamentary Assembly Margarita Safarova addressed the participants and told them about the YIPA CIS activities and priorities.

She paid special attention to the issues of the electoral culture of young people, their involvement in the electoral process, the development of youth parliamentarism. Margarita Safarova pointed out that the IPA CIS and the IIMDD IPA CIS regularly hold thematic youth conferences on the participation of youth in electoral processes and called on the youth activists of the Leningrad region to participate in these projects.
