Water Security Issues in Context of Mountainous Climate Variability Discussed in Dushanbe

On 6-9 June 2022, Dushanbe hosts the 2nd High-level International Conference on the International Decade of Action "Water for Sustainable Development" (2018-2028)

The event was organized by the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and the United Nations and was aimed at expanding cooperation in the field of water resources at the local, national, regional and global levels, as well as moving towards intelligent solutions to water resource restoration issues in the post-COVID world.

Within the framework of the conference, regional and thematic forums were held on 6 June: the Central Asian Forum “Water for Regional Cooperation,” the Women’s Water Forum, the Youth and Children’s Water Forum, the Water Forum of Local Communities and Indigenous Peoples, and the Forum on Water Resources and Mountains, which was attended by Secretary of the IPA CIS Permanent Commission on Agrarian Policy, Natural Resources and Ecology Natalia Amburtseva.
