International forum 25th anniversary of the CIS: Understanding, Cooperation, Development took place in Moscow

The open international forum 25^th anniversary of the CIS: Understanding, Cooperation, Development took place in the World Trade Center in Moscow. The Forum was organized by the Federal Agency for CIS Affairs and Compatriots Living Abroad and International Cooperation (Rossotrudnichestvo).

Head of Rossotrudnichestvo Lyubov Glebova opened the forum. The forum featured plenary session and round tables on humanitarian cooperation the field of youth policy, cross-religious dialogue in the humanitarian field, cooperation in education and science, building civic diplomacy and work with compatriots, R&D and innovation–related cooperation, partnership of the state with business community.

IPA CIS Secretariat staff members Alexander Surygin, Elena Fominenko and Margarita Safarova attended the Forum.

The Forum also offered a venue for the set-up meeting of the Association of Youth-led Organizations of the CIS Member States established to support the XIX World Festival of Youth and Students to be held in October 2017 in Sochi.
