Members of the Living Memories Tour met in the Tavricheskiy Palace

Veterans taking part in the Living Memories Tour met at the headquarters of the IPA CIS. Alexey Sergeev, IPA CIS Council Secretary General, greeted the veterans on behalf of Valentina Matvienko, IPA CIS Council Chairperson. “Valentina Matvienko was the main sponsor of the idea to organize the Tour. We were very much concerned in the run-up to the Tour about our veterans in delegations. The schedule was tight and involved many stop-overs. Yet, we never had doubts that you would make it. Now, looking back we understand the initiative has had an immense effect, far beyond our boldest expectations", said Alexey Sergeev.
Alexey Sergeev thanked the veterans and presented them with gifts and souvenirs on behalf of the IPA CIS.

Not a single flame faded during the Living Memories Tour. The Tour and its symbol – the Flame of the Commonwealth – demonstrates the triumph of our unity 70 years after the War and that the memories of our fathers’ labors will live on for centuries.
