Tajik national prize “Student of the Year – 2017” awarded in St. Petersburg

Deputy Secretary General of the IPA CIS Council – Plenipotentiary Representative of the Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan Ibod Rakhimov opened the ceremony. In his welcoming speech, Mr. Rakhimov noted the importance and timeliness of the prize, as 2017 was declared the Year of the Youth in the Republic of Tajikistan. “As the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, noted: ‘The youth is a successor of the older generation’s work, it is a creative power and a driving force of society in general, the future of the nation and the state’. This is exactly why I am particularly pleased to open the awarding ceremony “Student of the Year”, as the future of our state and nation belongs to the young generation, students”.

The ceremony was also attended by representatives of leading St. Petersburg universities, consulates general, international organizations, government institutions, business community, and students. Deputy Secretary General of the IPA CIS Council – Plenipotentiary Representative of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus Viktor Kogut became a special guest of the award ceremony.
