Kyrgyz Republic Celebrates Constitution Day

Today the Kyrgyz Republic celebrates the Constitution Day.
5 May 2023 marks the 30th anniversary of the adoption of the first Constitution of the independent Kyrgyz Republic, which consolidated the legal foundations of modern Kyrgyz sovereignty.
Since then the Constitution has been amended several times: in February 2003, in November and December 2006, in October 2007, and in June 2010.
In accordance with the Decree of President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov, a commemorative medal “30 years of the Constitution of the Kyrgyz Republic” was established. It will be awarded to civil servants, including MPs of the Jogorku Kenesh, military and law enforcement officers, labor veterans, and worthy citizens.
On the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the adoption of the Constitution, celebrations will take place across the country.
