Alen Simonyan Elected Speaker of National Assembly of Republic of Armenia

During the first session of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia of the 8^th convocation, which took place on 2 August 2021, a voting was held to elect the Speaker of the parliament.

According to the press service of the parliament, Alen Simonyan from the Civil Contract faction was elected as the Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia by 71 out of 107 MPs by secret ballot.
