Newly Elected Parliament of Republic of Armenia Held First Sitting

Today, the first meeting of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia of the eighth convocation took place with the participation of President Armen Sarkisyan.

In his speech, the President expressed gratitude to the MPs of the previous convocation for their activities in the legislative body, as well as to the citizens for expressing their position on the election day and thus participating in the political life of the country.

In accordance with the regulations, the newly elected MPs vowed to fulfill their obligations to the people in good faith, abide by the Constitution and the laws of the Republic of Armenia, contribute to the preservation of the sovereignty and interests of the state, do everything to preserve civil harmony, national and universal values.
