Belarusian MPs Ratify International Agreements

At its session on 6 May 2020, the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus approved the Cooperation Agreement Between the Member Nations of the Commonwealth of Independent States in Museum Sciences. The members of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus had ratified the document the day before. 

The agreement provides for the implementation of joint exhibition projects and scientific programs, the cooperation in retraining and advanced training of museum workers, the exchange of good practices in the field of adoption of modern technologies in the organization of exhibitions, etc.  

According to the document, the members of the Agreement guarantee the preservation and timely return, as well as judicial immunity, the immunity from of measures to secure claims and the immunity from execution of the court decision regarding museum items sent as part of museum and exhibition exchange.

The MPs also approved the draft Law on Ratification of the Agreement Between the Government of the Republic of Belarus and the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan on Cooperation in the Field of Migration”.

The agreement establishes the rules for exchange of information in the field of migration. It aims to coordinate joint efforts to manage migration processes and combat illegal migration.
