Commonwealth Countries Celebrate New Year

This year the New Year’s holidays in Azerbaijan are held for five days – until January 4. In the Republic of Armenia, New Year and Christmas are celebrated on 1-2, 6-7 January. Public holidays in Belarus are on 1 and 2 January. For Kazakhstanis, the holiday weekend last until 3 January. In the Kyrgyz Republic, New Year holidays are scheduled for 8 January. In Moldova, New Year is celebrated on 1-2 January. The winter holidays in Russian Federation last from 31 December to 8 January. In the Republic of Tajikistan, the holiday weekend is on 1-2 January. Uzbekistanis celebrate New Year on 1-2 January.
