Senate of Parliament of Kazakhstan Summed Up Results of 2022

The meeting of the Council of Senators of the Parliament of Kazakhstan was held on 28 December under the chairmanship of Maulen Ashimbayev.
Speaker of the Senate noted that outgoing year had been full of historical events for the country. Among important political steps he noted early elections of the President of Kazakhstan and adoption of number of laws ensuring constitutional reforms aimed at ensuring rule of law in the country.
The Speaker stressed that the events of January this year have become an unprecedented challenge since gaining independence. However, thanks to the timely decisions of the head of state and support of citizens of the country, it was possible to overcome these challenges.
According to the Speaker of the Senate, balance between branches of government have strengthened. “Special attention is paid to ensuring transparency and efficiency of public administration system. In order to implement a constitutional reform, the relevant constitutional laws were adopted. At the same time priority attention was paid to improvement of human rights protection institutions”, Maulen Ashimbaev noted.
