First School Olympiad “I Know How to Choose” Took Place in Tavricheskiy Palace

On 17 October  2022, the quiz “I Know How to Choose” among high school students of the Central District of St. Petersburg was held in Tavricheskiy Palace-  the IPA CIS headquarters.

The purpose of the quiz was to increase the level of legal culture of students, as well as to gain additional knowledge of electoral law and stimulate interest among future voters to participate in electoral processes.

The International Institute for Monitoring the Democracy Development, Parliamentarianism and Suffrage Protection of Citizens of IPA CIS Member Nations, the Public Chamber of St. Petersburg and the Administration of the Central District of St. Petersburg co-organized the event.

Deputy Head of the Secretariat of the IPA CIS Council – Director of the International Institute for Monitoring the Democracy Development, Parliamentarianism and Suffrage Protection of Citizens of IPA CIS Member Nations (IPA CIS IIMDD) Ivan Mushket, as well as the co-chairs of the competition Commission, Chairperson of the Public Chamber of St. Petersburg, Deputy Secretary General of the IPA CIS Council, Plenipotentiary Representative of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Irina Sokolova and Deputy Head of the Administration of the Central District of St. Petersburg Elena Trofimova addressed the students with a welcoming speech.
