Kyrgyz Republic Improves Legislation in Field of Renewable Energy Sources

Today, during the meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic, the MPs approved the amendments to certain legislative acts in the field of renewable energy sources.

According to the press service of the Parliament, the amendments affect the Law on Renewable Energy Sources and the Law on Licensing System in the Kyrgyz Republic.

The draft was developed in view of the growing consumption and shortage of electrical energy, pressing need to introduce new energy capacities and attract investments in the energy sector from domestic and foreign investors.
