Labour Valor Cities to Emerge in CIS

On 29 June 2020, the IPA CIS Council adopted a Decision on Awarding the Title of “Labour Valor City”, which outlines the practice of granting by the CIS Member Nations this honorary title to the cities, whose citizens significantly contributed to the Victory in the Great Patriotic War.

CIS MPs believe that introduction of such practice will pay tribute to the memory of the homefront workers, who were bringing closer the Victory. Through their commitment the USSR economy was placed on wartime footing in order to supply the Red Army with the necessary equipment.
