Maulen Ashimbayev: Solemn Meeting of IPA CIS Council Will Give an Impetus for Further Development of Parliamentary Cooperation

On 9 February 2022, Speaker of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan Maulen Ashimbayev met with Speaker of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan Nurdinjon Ismoilov, who visited Kazakhstan with an official visit.
During the conversation, Maulen Ashimbayev noted the importance to support and promote a high level of cooperation between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, set by the heads of the two countries. In turn, Nurdinjon Ismoilov said that Uzbekistan welcomed the reforms initiated by the President of Kazakhstan. He also stressed that many initiatives of Kassym-Jomart Tokayev were of great importance for the entire Central Asian region.
During the meeting, the parties noted that cooperation was complemented and enhanced by interaction on international platforms, including through the IPA CIS. Maulen Ashimbayev stressed that the solemn meeting of the IPA CIS Council would give an impetus for the further development of relations.
