Maulen Ashimbayev and Tanzila Narbayeva Discussed Strengthening Kazakhstan-Uzbekistan Cooperation

On 20 June, Speaker of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan Maulen Ashimbayev met with Speaker of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan Tanzila Narbayeva. The parties discussed the development of inter-parliamentary relations between the two countries.
Maulen Ashimbayev noted the intensive and trusting political dialogue at the level of the Heads of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, and also congratulated his colleague on the successful holding of the national referendum and familiarized the meeting participants with the work on legislative reforms conducted by the Parliament of Kazakhstan.
In her turn, Tanzila Narbayeva highly appreciated the dynamics of political transformations taking place in Kazakhstan and expressed confidence that the joint constructive work of the parliamentarians of the two countries will contribute to strengthening the Kazakhstan-Uzbekistan strategic cooperation.
During the meeting, the parties discussed further expansion of regional cooperation.
