Meeting of Presidium of Council of Legislators of Russian Federation Took Place in Tavricheskiy Palace

The meeting of the Presidium of the Council of Legislators took place today via videoconferencing from the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation and the Tavricheskiy Palace – the cradle of Russian parliamentarism and the IPA CIS headquarters.

The event was opened by Co-chairs of the Council of Legislators – Deputy Speaker of the State Duma Irina Yarovaya and First Deputy Speaker of the Federation Council Andrei Yatskin. They outlined the new issues brought for consideration by Russian legislators: difficulties that citizens face in the field health care, as well as the certain issues in the field of education. Irina Yarovaya and Andrei Yatskin recalled the measures that were already being taken in the country to improve the situation in these areas, and outlined further steps in this direction.

Following the speeches, the participants – MPs and representatives of the Government of the Russian Federation – proceeded to discuss specific aspects of the designated topics.
