Republic of Belarus and Russian Federation Celebrate Unity Day of Peoples

The Unity Day of the peoples of Belarus and Russia is officially celebrated on 2 March. On this date, 25 years ago, the Presidents of Belarus and Russia signed the Treaty on the Formation of the Community of Belarus and Russia. The Treaty on the Union of Belarus and Russia, concluded in 1997, is dated the same day.

The two states organize large-scale joint projects, cooperate in the field of foreign policy and in various spheres of economy, science and education. Official and festive events are held in the Republic of Belarus and the Russian Federation on the day of the holiday.
