Tajikistan Announced Date of Parliamentary Elections

President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon set the date of elections of members of the new convocation of Majlisi namayandagon Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan. According to the decree, they will be held on 2 March 2025.

The Majlisi namayandagon Majlisi Oli consists of 63 members. Elections are held by secret ballot on the basis of universal, equal and direct suffrage. 22 representatives are elected by proportional system, 41 - by single-mandate constituencies.

The previous parliamentary elections were held on 1 March 2020. The election campaign was monitored by the IPA CIS International observers.
