Tajikistan celebrates the National Unity Day

On this day 24 years ago President of Tajikistan Emomali Rakhmon signed the General Agreement on Peace and National Consent in Tajikistan bringing an end to the five-year civil war. This is a historic document for Tajikistan which created the conditions for democratic development, free elections and economic recovery.
