Talant Mamytov: Inter-Parliamentary Cooperation Contributes Greatly to Kyrgyz-Russian Relations

Today, Speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic Talant Mamytov comes on the official visit to the Russian Federation. Before the trip, the head of the parliament gave an interview to “Parliamentary Newspaper”, in which he spoke about the main areas of inter-parliamentary cooperation between the countries.
He noted that the dialogue was carried out at such platforms as the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly and the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly, within the framework of the bilateral commission on cooperation between the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, as well as at the annual joint meetings of the relevant committees of the parliaments of the two countries.
Among the main areas of inter-parliamentary cooperation, Talant Mamytov named the coordination of efforts on harmonizing national legislations, including within the framework of the EAEU, joint parliamentary control over the implementation of agreements and agreements signed between the countries.
He stressed the strengthening of political interaction between the two countries, including in the field of security, trade, economic, scientific, technical, cultural, educational and other spheres.
