CIS siege survivors to take part in events dedicated to the 75th anniversary of lifting the siege of Leningrad

On 27 January, St. Petersburg will celebrate the 75th anniversary of the complete liberation of Leningrad from fascist siege.

It is expected that 90 veterans from 20 countries will visit the city for the events, including from the Republic of Armenia, the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Bulgaria, the Federal Republic of Germany, Georgia, the State of Israel, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Republic of Latvia, the Republic of Lithuania, the Republic of Moldova, the United States of America, the Republic of Tajikistan, the Republic of Uzbekistan, Ukraine, the Republic of Finland, the French Republic, the Czech Republic, the Kingdom of Sweden and the Republic of Estonia.

Veterans will take part in the wreath-laying ceremony at the Piskarevskoe Memorial Cemetery and attend a gala concert in the Oktyabrsky Grand Concert Hall, dedicated to the anniversary of the liberation of Leningrad, as well as the military parade of St. Petersburg garrison on the Dvortsovaya Square.
