Constitution of the Russian Federation turns 25 years

The Day of Constitution is celebrated today in the Russian Federation. It has been 25 years since the adoption of the fundamental law of the country, which laid the foundation for the development of the state and civil society, harmonization of social relations, strengthening peace and accord.

The Constitution of the Russian Federation was adopted on 12 December 1993 through a referendum and came into force on the day of its official publication –25 December 1993.
