Parliamentarians and CIS experts discussed legislative support for the digital economy development

Interparliamentary hearings on legislative support for the digital economy development in the CIS countries took place in the Tavricheskiy Palace.

Deputy Chair of the Federation Council Committee on the Budget and Financial Markets Andrei Yepishin opened the meeting.

Based on the results of the discussion, the participants of the interparliamentary hearings prepared a number of recommendations, which will be sent to governments, supreme legislative bodies of the Commonwealth countries, the CIS Executive Committee, the IPA CIS and the CIS Regional Commonwealth in the Field of Communications.

The meeting was attended by Secretary of the Commission of the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova on Economy, Budget and Finance Vladimir Golovatyuk, Deputy Chair of the Federation Council Committee on Constitutional Legislation and State Building Alexander Bashkin, Member of the Federation Council Committee on Economic Policy Vladimir Kravchenko, Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Economic Policy, Industry, Innovative Development, and Entrepreneurship Dmitry Sazonov, Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Information Policy, Information Technologies and Communications Alexander Yushchenko, as well as deputies of the IPA CIS SG - Plenipotentiary Representative of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus Viktor Kogut, Plenipotentiary Representative of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan Askhat Nuskabaj, Plenipotentiary Representative of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrghyz Republic Nurbek Satvaldiev, Plenipotentiary Representative of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Irina Sokolova.
