CIS Countries Exploring Possibilities of Mutual Recognition of Vaccination Certificates Against COVID-19

On 24 February 2022, a meeting of the Working Group on the Development of Proposals on the Conditions and Procedure for the Recognition of Certificates (Documents) on Vaccination Against New Coronavirus Infection (COVID-19) in the CIS Member Nations took place in the Tavricheskiy Palace – the IPA CIS headquarters.

The meeting took place via videoconferencing and was attended by representatives of the Republic of Armenia, the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Republic of Moldova, the Russian Federation, the Republic of Tajikistan and the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as the CIS Executive Committee.

Working Group members exchanged views and experience on the issue of recognition of vaccination certificates. Representatives of Armenia, Belarus and Moldova noted that they recognize vaccination certificates from other countries without concluding any agreements. Following the meeting, it was decided to continue exploring the possibility of mutual recognition of vaccination certificates based on a harmonized approach.
