Council of Permanent Plenipotentiary Representatives of CIS Member Nations at Statutory and Other Bodies of Commonwealth Draws Outcomes of Meeting

On 19 May 2020, the meeting of the Council of Permanent Plenipotentiary Representatives of the CIS Member Nations at the Statutory and other Bodies of the Commonwealth took place in Minsk (Republic of Belarus) via videoconferencing. According to the CIS Executive Committee press-office, the meeting brought together the representatives of all CIS Member Nations, except for Ukraine, as well as the leadership of the CIS Executive Committee and heads of its entities.

The meeting was chaired by Permanent Plenipotentiary Representative of the Republic of Uzbekistan at the Statutory and other Bodies of the CIS, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the Republic of Belarus Nasirdjan Yusupov. The participants of the meeting considered the issues related to various areas of cooperation within the Commonwealth and discussed the outcomes of the meeting of the Council of the CIS Foreign Ministers held on 12 May 2020. Particular attention was paid to the 75th Anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941–1945. The participants considered the agenda of the next meeting of the Council of the CIS Heads of Government scheduled on 29 May, which included 13 items concerning partner relations in the international, military and humanitarian areas.
