Experts Discussed Draft Joint Statement of CIS Heads of State on Cooperation in Information Security

Within the framework of the CIS Chairmanship of the Republic of Uzbekistan, on 15 July 2020, the CIS experts discussed via videoconferencing the draft Joint Statement of the CIS Heads of State on Cooperation in the Field of Ensuring International Information Security.

The document aims to draw the attention of the world community to the inadmissibility of the use of the modern information and communication technologies to the ends incompatible with maintaining international peace, security and stability.

According to the press-service of the MFA of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the event brought together the MFA representatives of Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova (as an observer), Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.
