Extended Program of Ninth Nevsky International Ecological Congress Published

The extended business program of the Ninth Nevsky International Ecological Congress with a detailed information on the sessions and keynote speakers was published on the official website of the event, as reported by Deputy Speaker of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Andrey Yatskin.

The Congress will take place on 27–28 May 2021 in St. Petersburg. The event is held by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment of the Russian Federation under the auspices of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation with the participation of the Parliamentary Assembly of Member Nations of the Commonwealth of Independent States. The event is operated by the Roscongress Foundation.

According to the press-service of the Federation Council, the Congress will bring together the representatives of public authorities, including the CIS parliaments, heads of Russian and international companies, representatives of the academia and non-governmental organizations.

The business program of the event covers such issues as water resources management, environmental education and tourism, new climate policy, circular economy, green energy, forest resources, environmental issues of the Arctic and environmental security.
