IPA CIS Representatives Took Part in International Consultations on Rehabilitation of Victims of Terrorism

On 2 December 2020, the consultation “Recognition and Remembrance of Victims of Terrorism” was held within the framework of the virtual conference “Model Legislative Provisions to Support and Protect the Rights and Needs of Victims of Terrorism” co-organized by the IPU, the UNODC and the UNOCT.

Secretary of the Joint Commission at the IPA CIS for the Harmonization of National Laws Related to Security, Countering Emerging Threats and Challenges Stanislav Korostelyov, Secretary of the IPA CIS Permanent Commission on Political Issues and International Cooperation Maksimillian Selyutin and Secretary of the IPA CIS Permanent Commission on Defense and Security Issues Aleksandr Borisov represented the IPA CIS Council Secretariat as observers at this event.

The consultation was focused on the recognition and remembrance of the victims of terrorism. The participants noted that recognition and remembrance measures were crucial for the rehabilitation of victims of terrorism.

The discussion of issues related to the rehabilitation of victims of terrorism within the framework of the virtual conference will last until 28 January 2021.
