Meeting of CIS Council of Permanent Plenipotentiary Representatives Took Place in Minsk

On 17 October 2020, the CIS Executive Committee hosted a meeting of the CIS Council of Permanent Plenipotentiary Representatives at the Statutory and Other Bodies of the Commonwealth in Minsk.

The participants approved the Joint Action Plan of the CIS Executive Committee, the CIS Council of Permanent Plenipotentiary Representatives and the Economic Policies Commission at the CIS Economic Council for the implementation of instructions emanating from the decisions of the Council of the CIS Heads of Government (6 November 2020), as well as proposals made by the heads of delegations during the meeting.

The participants also drew outcomes of the Council’s work in 2020 and discussed the Work Plan for 2021. They noted the effective work of the Council chaired by Permanent Plenipotentiary Representative of the Republic of Uzbekistan at the Statuary and Other Bodies of the Commonwealth, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the Republic of Belarus Nasirdzhan Yusupov.

According to the press service of the CIS Executive Committee, the participants also considered the draft agenda for the next meeting of the Council of the CIS Foreign Ministers, which was scheduled to be held on 2 April 2021 in the Russian Federation.
