Regular Meeting of Council of Plenipotentiary Representatives Held at CIS headquarters in Minsk

A regular meeting of the Council of Permanent Plenipotentiary Representatives of the CIS Member Nations at the Statutory and Other Bodies of the Commonwealth was held today at the CIS Executive Committee in Minsk.

The Council members considered six issues. In particular, they got acquainted with the information on the activities of the Board of the CIS Heads of National and Public Television and Radio Organizations. It was noted that the development of cooperation in the information field was one of the priorities of interaction between the CIS countries, as it is a necessary condition for the successful development of integration processes in the Commonwealth.

The Permanent Plenipotentiaries also formed draft agendas of the meetings of the Council of CIS Foreign Ministers and the Council of CIS Heads of State to be held on 14-15 October in Minsk, and also generally approved the draft agenda for the next meeting of the Council of CIS Heads of Government, scheduled for 12 November in Bishkek.

During the meeting, the Permanent Plenipotentiaries were also provided with the information on the results of the High-Level International Conference “Central and South Asia: Regional Connectivity. Challenges and Opportunities”, which took place in Tashkent on 15-16 July 2021.

According to the press service of the CIS Executive Committee, the next meeting of the Council of Permanent Plenipotentiary Representatives will be held on 27 September in Minsk.
