Secretary General of IPA CIS Council met with Chair of Coordination Service to CIS Joint Chiefs of Border Guards

The Tavricheskiy Palace hosted a meeting of the Secretary General of the IPA CIS Council Dmitriy Kobitskiy with Chair of the Coordination Service to CIS Joint Chiefs of Border Guards Alexander Manilov.

The head of the Coordination Service told about the preparation of the meeting of the CIS Joint Chiefs of Border Guards, which will be held on 28 November 2024 in St. Petersburg.

Dmitriy Kobitskiy noted that cooperation between the organizations provides information on what legal documents are relevant for effective cooperation of border services in protecting the external borders of the Commonwealth.

The Secretary General thanked the leadership of the Coordination Service for expert assistance in the preparation of Model Laws and active participation in the work of the IPA CIS Permanent Commission on Defense and Security issues and the Joint Commission at the IPA CIS for the Harmonization of National Laws Related to Security, Countering Emerging Threats and Challenges.

The parties also discussed preparations for the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War.

The meeting was attended by Head of the Border Department of the Federal Security Service for St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region Sergey Dorofeev, Deputy Head of the Secretariat of the IPA CIS Council Alexey Dolzhikov, Head of the Expert and Analytical Department of the IPA CIS Council Secretariat Denis Zhuk, and Secretary of the Joint Commission at the IPA CIS for the Harmonization of National Laws Related to Security, Countering Emerging Threats and Challenges Stanislav Korostelev.
